How to update MantisBT

Guide to update Mantis bugtracker


1. Backup your bugtracker database.
2. Rename %mantis% to mantis_old.
3. Download and unpack new version in %mantis_directory%.
4. Open Mantis in your browser. You should see Install\Update page.
5. Enter your settings, such as a hostname, database login\password for user and administrator (can be found in mantis_old/config_inc.php).
6. Click Install\Update.
7. Remove %mantis%/admin directory.
8. Done*.

* If you have any plugins, addons, custom functions and other modifications copy them too.

Tested and worked with 1.1.8 to 1.2.0 and 1.2.0 to 1.2.1.
